![]() To solve the problem for this and future documents you need to embed Arial into the document by changing the PDFMaker job option settings. ![]() I need to be able to edit existing PDF's and create new PDF's using Arial font. I replaced the Font from the Window install CD and still it didn't work. Yet if I go to the C:\Windows\Fonts folder Arial is definitely there and it works fine in Office products. ![]() I noticed if I go to print the Adobe PDF and go to Property's > Edit Default settings > Fonts > Arial doesn't show up. Then if we make the changes and save the PDF the spacing throughout the document is changed. Any changes to the text of the original font will place a new font dependency upon the document." When we go to edit the PDF and use the Text Touchup Tool we get an error message that says "Warning! Since the original font is not available, a substituted font for editing is used. We are using Adobe Acrobat Professional 9 to create PDFs of Word 2007.docx and we are also using it to edit existing PDFs that were created in Acrobat Pro 8 or 9. Anyway I figured I would post my issue here in hopes of an answer. I have contacted Adobe on this a few times and let me say they have some of the worst support I've come across in a while.
